Goring Gap Environmental Organisation (GGEO)

Mend the Gap supported the founding of the Goring Gap Environmental Organisation (GGEO) as a Charity in Goring in 2021. Their current activities include: engaging volunteers in monitoring water quality along the Thames, running a repair café and supporting a range of events in the community to raise awareness of the environment in and around Goring.

GGEO has been supported by Mend the Gap to set up their organisation, including:

  • Bringing together individuals and trustees to lead the organisation
  • building membership
  • Setting up a charitable framework
  • Benchmarking and creating partnerships
  • Designing a new website and newsletter
  • Support with water quality monitoring
